In the film Mean Creek, the changes in the physical setting are used by the director to reflect the changes in the characters as they mature and come of age. Together, the idea of coming of age is examined through the 'journey' the characters take down the river in the boat. You will be creating a visual representation of this change in the activity I introduced on Monday.
Here are the first notes we took. On Thursday, we will look at the aftermath of George's death and how this is reflected by the director in the physical setting (including colour changes, weather changes). Sorry for the messy writing - it is tough at the bottom of the board.
