I am an educator originally from Canada who has been teaching in the public school system since October 2012. I have been a relief teacher since graduating from my Professional Development Program for two school districts, servicing over twelve high schools. I moved to New Zealand in 2014 to live and continued on with my teaching career.
I am first most passionate about English, particularly the use of content-based learning that makes English purposeful and relevant to every learner. I am also a teacher of Social Studies and Law, which I hope to be qualified to teach in NZ in the future.
My strengths include my ability to create a a supportive learning environment for all students, my desire to be a strong role model for the next generation, and my natural curiosity about life. I love to travel and explore and I hope that I can encourage my students to get out into the world and appreciate all it has to offer.
I am a teacher of English at Mercury Bay Area School in Whitianga, New Zealand. In 2016, I am teaching English at year 10 and Level 1-3 NCEA. Please contact me directly at email@example.com with any questions.
Wondering where I come from? The True North, strong and free. Watch the video above to see my province, British Columbia. I connect with this video and the expansive natural landscape it highlights in my home province. It is a special place for myself and many others. Hopefully one day, you too, can
